The Role:

Role Overview:

The Payroll Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of employee benefits accounting. This includes ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all benefits-related financial information, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support benefits strategy and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of all benefits-related accounts.

• Process monthly payroll journal entries, ensuring accurate reflection of benefits-related costs and liabilities.

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports related to employee benefits.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

1. Collaborate with HR to oversee the administration of benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefit programs.

1. Support payroll department by providing accurate benefits data and resolving any discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for experience in benefits accounting or administration.

1. Proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

1. Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
